I'm dead again, waiting for my life to end. Sitting stagnant and frozen over, I lay awake wishing for all this to end. Dry tears through fake smiles because I'm dead again. I'm dead behind the eyes.

The biggest lie I've ever told, is the one I tell most often. To friends, family and strangers, this falsehood unrestricted. I tell these lies without thinking, an automatic response. Could they become the truth. I wouldn't tell these lies, if they would stop asking. Just like always I'll bear it until it passes. Then I can pretend for a time that it don't exist. Now I can “shrug it off” and “let it go”, until the cycle starts again. I feel there's no way out, and no one wins. They say to talk and someone's there, but I can't start the conversation.

Dead again, waiting for my life to end.

I lay awake, shedding dry tears through my vices, and the worst of me always wins.
